MotoGeo is all motorcycle adventures from all around the world, brought to you by fanatical motorcyclist Jamie Robinson. Introduced and then quickly obsessed with motorbikes from a very early age, Jamie now sets off on his 2-wheeled travels while armed with his camera so that you can be a part of his journey and meetings with other like-minded and passionate motorcyclists from across the globe.
“Well I just love motorcycles and have been very blessed to have been around them all my life. Now I’m doing all kinds of motorbike stuff, like meeting up with all of my 2-wheeled buddies, going on trips and to events, plus testing all kinds of motorcycles and doing my best to capture it all on camera. I just hope people enjoy watching and it inspires more people to actually give motorcycling a go. Because all of us that do ride, already know that there is no better feeling than riding your motorbike, it’s loads of fun every time you twist back that throttle no matter what you’re riding”.

Jamie Robinson Life Bio
The infectious motorcycle bug or you could call drug, started for me at the tender age of 3½ when my Dad modified an old Garelli moped and taught me how to ride.
From that point on all I thought and dreamed about was motorbikes.
As a kid I was lucky enough to be brought up on a small farm in the Yorkshire countryside, England and continue riding, I then started school-boy motocross racing when I was 11 and then road racing when I turned 16.
Up until that point I’d only day dreamed about being a racer but a promising start to track racing after finishing 6th overall in my first season in the 125cc British Championship, my Dad and I (with lots of support from my Mum!) decided we’d have a go and trying to go even better.
Together with my father by my side and who also was my mechanic, we went on to win the 250cc British Championship, a round of the European Championship and then onto the Moto GP 250cc World Championship.
Suddenly I found myself being on the racetrack with many of my childhood heroes and experiencing the thrills of motorcycling from a completely new level, I could hardly believe it!
Personally I had many great moments in Moto GP as a privateer racer but also many crashes and broken bones, however my best result was a 6th place in Assen Holland and set the fastest lap of the race at the British Grand Prix in 2000.
Towards the end of my career, I raced in the British Superbike and Supersport Championship, while running my own team, again with my father and this is when I learned a great deal about teams, motorcycles and business.
Having being brought up around motorbikes and going to the Isle of Man since I was 7 years old, I thought it was about time I raced the ultimate road race on the planet so I signed up and competed in the 2008 Isle of Man TT on a CBR600RR for Team Padgett’s and lapped at 119.6mph average around the 37 ¾ mile course. The Isle of Man TT was an incredible experience and injected and whole new lease of life into me and the old thrill and passion for motorcycles was back in abundance.
From that point on I started to travel on two wheels around the world, searching for the ultimate 2-wheeled adventure which brought me to the USA when I flew to New York, bought a motorbike for $200 and rode it 4,000 miles from Long Beach New York to Long Beach California.
Arriving in California, I couldn’t believe the fantastic motorbiking weather and desperately wanted to stay and was lucky enough to get the job as the editor of a motorcycle magazine in Los Angeles. I found print interesting but also limiting so now I’m making short motorcycle online movies which I hope will encourage more and more people to give motorcycling a try, as all of us that do ride, all ready know that there is no finer thing than strapping on your helmet and taking your motorcycle for a spin, no matter how far you travel.
Motorbikes are my life, they are a huge part of me and the best thing that’s ever happened was learning to ride as motorbikes have taken me to all my dreams.
Outside of motorcycle my passions are cooking, animals, my friends and family and living life to the full as this is no dress rehearsal.
Jamie
